Harvest service helps Bread of Life charity at St James’, Millbrook

BREAD of Life, the church charity at St James’, Millbrook, benefited from the donations of food to the harvest service that had a theme of “thankfulness for everything that God provides”.

The project runs every Saturday morning the church lounge is open from 10.30am to noon and offers a shared breakfast, tea and coffee, with the opportunity to read the papers and chat to the drop-in volunteers in a safe, warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The visitors can also take away food and essential store cupboard items.

Bread of Life is supported each week by Tesco, Stalybridge; 5 A Day, Melbourne Street and Bake n Take, Ashton, with donations of surplus food.
