Holy Trinity, Stalybridge, holds its annual bereavement service on Sunday, November 12 at 4pm.
The service, now in its fourth year, is aimed at the bereaved, either recent or long term, to give thanks for the lives of their loved ones.
In previous years the service has attracted a congregation of up to 100.
There will be hymns and a reading, some quiet and a chance to bring forward a flower and ask for your loved one’s name to be read out.
The service is open to all in the community whether or not they have a church background.
There will be a follow-up drop-in event, a free café, on Saturday, December 16 (1pm-4pm), not only for the bereaved but the elderly and those living on their own.
They will be invited to make a memory of a loved one and place it on a memory tree.
Christmas hymns will be played and there will be free cakes and mince pies
