Stalybridge’s Christmas lights switch on takes place on Saturday, November 18.
THE activities centre on Armentieres Square, though there will also be other things taking place in the town centre.
Local singers, cheerleaders, choirs and brass bands are on the main stage from 1.30pm.
The main event will be between 5pm-6pm with the lights switched on by former Coronation Street actor Scott Wright, a patron of Cancer Warriors, the charity the switch on is supporting.
There will be a display from a dance school, performance of Cinderella, opera singer and other local talent.
During the afternoon there will be canal boat trips and Father Christmas will have a grotto on one of the boats. Admission will be free with donations to Cancer Warriors.
