Jordan, who is a leading cadet, and Nicole Gildert, a cadet from Bolton, hope to raise £1,000 between them for the Royal Navy and Royal Marines charities by completing the 13.1mile run on May 20.
Jordan is back in training after it was interrupted when he was rushed into hospital with a liver problem.
It was back in December that Jordan, a former pupil at Stalyhill Primary and West Hill High School, appeared in the Correspondent.
Jordan, who was a fitness instructor at Gymetc at the time, was walking home when he came across a car crash on Mottram Road.
Having learned first aid skills at Stockport Sea Cadets, Jordan was able to put his training into action.
Jordan, who joined the Sea Cadets on his 10th birthday, is also in the Royal Navy reserves and has recently applied to enlist full time.
To sponsor Jordan, go to either Manchester Half Marathon for Charity on Facebook or the Virgin Media fundraising page Manchester Half Marathon for RNRMC and SCP.
