Keen campers and caravanners, the duo decided to finally take the plunge after years discussing the project.
Now, their first luxury mobile home – a Zefiro 675 – is available to hire with the promise of first class customer service.
It comes complete with air conditioning (when summer finally arrives), a winter pack, Sat Nav, TV/DVD player, HD dashcam and reversing camera.
There’s also free storage for customers’ cars and luggage at their secure depot in Tameside.
And potential hirers should have no fears about reliable issues as Matt’s day job is a health and safety executive.
“It’s something we have been speaking about for years,” explained dad-of-two Matt.
“My dad, Hugh, was a cobbler in Ashton for many years but as a side-line used to rent out tents and camping equipment.
“Sadly, dad passed away a couple of years ago but we have named our first mobile home, Hughie, in his memory.”

The Greenly family

So, why Blue Duck Campers? ‘We spent ages thinking up a name that suggested the outdoors, exploration and adventure,” laughed Matt.
“And we really struggled. One day though we sat at home looking out at the hills and saw a blue, wooden duck on the window sill and we just liked the idea.
“As seasoned campers and caravanners we know the great outdoors can be on your doorstep within only a short drive from most major UK cities.
“So, what better way to explore it than from the luxury of one of our new motorhomes.
“We understand how important leisure time away from the hurly burly of modern life is and our aim is to help you have the holiday of a lifetime on your terms.”
‘Hughie’ comes complete with instruction manual plus a full instructive tour of the home before you pull away from the depot.
“In addition, we have a 24-hour text line in case of any issues,” explained Matt.
“And we are on call most of the day and night to give any advice.
“As we are a family business you don’t have to deal with impersonal call centres or be kept on hold in a queue for ages.”
