Man charged after police pursuit through Tameside

A man has been charged in connection with a police pursuit in Tameside.

Sam Donnelly (30/11/1992) of no fixed abode has been charged with the following:

  • Dangerous driving.
  • Theft of motor vehicle.
  • Failing to provide a specimen for drink/drug driving.

He has been remanded to appear at Tameside Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday 25 April.

At around 12pm on Monday 23 April, police received a report that a car was being driven erratically in Stalybridge town centre.

A police pursuit ensued with assistance from the police helicopter.

Police deployed two stingers and the pursuit was bought to a conclusion when a police vehicle made tactical contact with the subject vehicle.
