LOCAL MP Jonathan Reynolds has praised the work of the recently formed Stalybridge chapter of Business Network International.
Mr Reynolds attended a special meeting for would-be members that was held at Stalybridge Celtic’s Bower Fold ground.
It was an early start as businesses gathered at 6.30am at the football ground where members had 30 seconds to give pitches.
And the ethos of BNI is that the members form a partnership to mutually help each other.
Mr Reynolds said: “I was really impressed by how the new business network group works and the testimonials given showed the effect it is already having.
“It is great that a lot of small businesses can provide each other with peer-to-peer support and some of the stories I heard were aspiring.
“There is clearly a demand in Stalybridge for such a group. We need more business successes as that means more employment for people in the area.”
