Tameside officers are investigating a series of reports of a man exposing himself and behaving inappropriately in Stamford Park in Stalybridge.
The reports state that a man has been seen on Sunday mornings approaching women who are walking their dogs, following lone walkers and hiding in the bushes whilst behaving inappropriately.
The man has been described as in his 20s, with tanned or olive skin, with medium length dark hair that is occasionally gelled back.
He has been seen wearing a black t-shirt and black jogging bottoms regularly but was also seen wearing salmon pink bottoms on one occasion and on a silver bicycle on another.
The reports predominantly say that a man has been seen at the Sycamore end of the park and in the “Diggle”.
Inspector Andrew Holden from GMP’s Tameside borough said: “We are currently searching for a man in connection with several incidents in the area and we are hoping someone may recognise the description and be able to help us identify him.
“These incidents are happening in broad daylight on Sunday mornings, we have increased patrols in the area in the hope that we can find him ourselves, but are appealing for anyone who sees anyone acting suspiciously to either tell a patrolling officer or call police as soon as possible.
“We are taking this matter incredibly seriously and hope to put an end to these incidents as soon as we can.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 0161 856 9350, alternatively call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
