STALYHILL has been included in the Sunday Times Top 200 Performing Primary Schools in the UK.
Ian Cochrane, chair of governors, described it a fitting finale to the school’s golden anniversary celebrations.
He said: “This is due to the dedication and hard work of all the staff who are passionate in their roles to ensure all our children enjoy and benefit from the highest quality of teaching and learning.
“We also need to say a big thank you to our pupils who achieved their best and their parents for their continued support.”
Stalyhill concluded the celebrations to mark the 50th anniversary of the official opening of the school by hosting a community firework display on Friday, November 30 for existing and former pupils or parents and also the wider community.
More than 1,200 people attended the celebrations which included children’s fun fair rides and hot food stalls before witnessing a show stopping laser and firework display.
Headteacher Sue Kitchen thanked everyone who planned the jubilee celebrations and came along to celebrate with them.
