DUKINFIELD and Stalybridge Rotary Club will welcome local people and community organisations to its next information evening at Ashton Golf Club on Thursday, February 7.
The event gives local people the opportunity to find out more about the club and how it benefits the community while also giving charities and community organisations a chance to learn how to access its donations.
Local charities and voluntary groups from the Dukinfield and Stalybridge areas are urged to attend to find out more about the club’s annual Dragons’ Den.
The 2019 Den will take place in April so anyone attending this information evening will get a headstart in finding out how to bid for a donation to support their activity or fundraise for a charitable cause.
The evening gives anyone wanting to get more involved in their community, and even projects abroad, an opportunity to meet up with like-minded people and find out all about the club’s activities and what it offers in its annual programme.
Many of the club’s socials are also fundraisers so members along with their guests can have fun while raising money for worthy causes, such as Rotary’s End Polio Now campaign (close to eradicating polio across the world) and Dukinfield and Stalybridge’s own international project.
Closer to home, the club donates to many projects in the local community and these will be showcased at the event as well as the club’s social events programme which includes its popular wine tasting and murder mystery evenings.
Members will also be on hand to answer any questions, share their Rotary experiences and provide details for anyone wishing to join.
