STALYBRIDGE Archery Club, which celebrates its 60th anniversary next year, is hosting its annual longbow tournament on Sunday, October 29.
The event starts at the Paddock off Mottram Road at 10am and non longbow archers are also welcome.
“Because of the increase in popularity of longbow shooting, we felt it necessary to hold a separate competition,” said a club spokesman.
“And this event will be our fourth as interest continues to grow.”
On a busy weekend for members Saturday, October 28 is the return of the club’s social ‘spooky shoot.’
Some will be donning fancy dress and shooting at specially designed targets with a Halloween theme.
The club’s next committee meeting is on Thursday, November 2 at the club house, starting at 7.30pm.
