Spring into archery in Stalybridge

HAVE you ever dreamt of the chance to be a Katniss Everdene or Merida, a Robin Hood or Hawkeye?
Well those skills can be yours. Stalybridge Archery Club is now seeking aspiring archers to join them on their ever-popular beginners’ courses.

This is a four-week course held on a Monday between 7pm-9pm on their Indoor Range.
It is limited to six candidates per course and is open to anyone aged from 10 years and upwards – their most senior member is 86.
All equipment is provided, with one-to-one instruction from qualified coaches and experienced archers.
At the end of the course, if you can show you able to shoot competently and safely, you will receive a nationally recognised certificate. The cost is £70 per person.
Stalybridge Archery Club, based in Cheetams Park, Mottram Road, Stalybridge, currently has more than 100 senior members and a junior section of 30. The club celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2018.
A full distance outdoor range up to 100 yds (90metres) is laid out together with an indoor range so members are able to shoot 24/7 regardless of the weather every day of the year.
So, if you have always held a wish to learn this ancient skill, or need that present for someone special, or if you are just stuck in a rut, need to get out and would like to meet new friends, then why not join them on a beginners’ course.
