DO you have what it takes to solve a series of mind-boggling puzzles to escape from a room in a thrilling race against time?
The popular ‘Exit Rooms’ have made their way to Stalybridge, bringing a challenge for with adults and young people alike.
From office parties or team building, family get-togethers or if you just want a challenge and a fun time with your friends, Mission Exit in Dukinfield is the place to go.
Alex, who runs the venture, has two rooms where groups must solve elaborate puzzles to escape – before the timer runs out.
Alex said: “I was in a job I was ready to come out of and decided have ago and to look in the local area.
“The closest one at the time was in the middle of Manchester, so I decided right, let’s open up in Dukinfield. It’s close to Manchester but out of the way.
“We’ve been open a year now and things have been going good. The idea was to get to Christmas and see if we were doing well enough.
“Lucky enough in September, I went full time because we were too busy.”
“We have two rooms at the moment but will have three by the end of this month.”
One of the rooms on offer is themed as a serial killer’s warehouse – but Alex promises it’s not as scary as it sounds and has even hosted 10-year-olds birthday parties.
And Alex reassured visitors: “There’s no serial killer, don’t worry!”
Groups have one hour to solve all the clues and escape from the room, and so far Alex has seen around 75 per-cent of people complete the challenge successfully.
The minimum number of players is two and the maximum is seven, with prices starting at £36 for two people and £77 for seven players for an hour in one of the rooms.
