STALYBRIDGE Celtic are still on the road to Wembley after a turnaround win at Buxton sent them to the next round of the Buildbase FA Trophy.
Nico De Girolamo’s glancing header meant Simon Haworth’s men were staring at defeat in Tuesday’s second qualifying round replay.
But four minutes before half-time, Liam Tongue cut inside and found the net for the equaliser, curling a shot just beyond the fingertips of goalkeeper Theo Roberts.
And on 75 minutes, Chris Sharp’s clever finish after reaching James Caton’s pass made sure of a home tie against Cumbrians Workington, who defeated Newcastle Town 5-0 at the same time.
Celtic have already beaten Workington 1-0 in the league this season but hopes are high they can continue on their journey in the knock-out competition.
The tie will be played at Bower Fold on Saturday, November 24.
