A DESIRE to give up smoking is turning out to be the best business decision Jason Guarino came to.
For it gave him the inspiration that has led to him setting up Vape Shack in Dukinfield.
The 31-year-old, born and bred in the town, now has popular premises on Concord Way, where people can enjoy one of more than 200 liquids.
You can also lap up the comfortable surroundings by using one of the couches and even get your competitive juices flowing, courtesy of the gaming station that sees two Xbox machines linked up so users can take on each other online.
It all comes from a desire to kick the cigarettes as Jason explained: “Four years ago, I tried to stop smoking but that didn’t work, so I started doing research into vaping.
“I tried it but realised I was doing it all wrong, so after more research I started to realise the balance between different devices.
“And literally from doing that, I managed to get myself off cigarettes. I haven’t touched one since.”
After switching, Jason then started to do research into the business around vaping and it has led to the creation of Vape Shack, which also has a branch in Barry, South Wales, last November.
Now with staff, including Jamie Bennett, it offers all manner of flavours and liquids in different strengths and customers can also get any problem with their device attended to.
“I did it lot of research into the industry as there are so many wrong ways of going into business,” Jason added.
“Now we’ve got more than 200 different variations of juices but they are all UK tested, everything we have comes under the UK regulations.”
As well as providing a place for people to vape, Jason goes that bit further by offering 10-12 members’ nights every year with free food and as much coffee as they want, as well as events where the manufacturers explain their products. Members also get five per cent off purchases.
