STALYBRIDGE Celtic Juniors hosted their third annual walking football festival on Saturday, July 13 in support of Cancer Warriors.
Twelve teams, including two women’s, took on the challenge of walking football.
There were also sides representing the Juniors, volunteers and parents, Cancer Warriors and proper walking football team Tameside Striders. They included players aged between 18 and 80.
The competition was won by Mighty Spartans, a squad of volunteer coaches from Celtic Juniors, after a nail-biting penalty shootout in the final.
The walking football festival once again was held in aid of Stalybridge based charity Cancer Warriors and £650 was raised.
