THE Rotary Club of Dukinfield and Stalybridge will be giving away up to £2,000 at its annual Dragon’s Den.
Local community groups and charities from Stalybridge, Dukinfield and Mossley have until Wednesday, February 26 to submit applications.
The Dragon’s Den will take place on Thursday, March 19 (7.30pm) at Stamford Golf Club when participants will give a five-minute pitch to a panel. Everybody taking part will receive some cash.
Judi Kelly, president-elect of the Dukinfield and Stalybridge branch, is proud to be involved in the event which began in 2016.
She explained eight groups applied last year and £2,500 was distributed. It also provided a platform for them to encourage collaborative thinking and for Rotary to promote its work.
In the past organisations like Carrbrook Hub have been awarded money which was used to organise events for youth groups and recruit an experienced gardener to educate them about how to care for plants and the environment.
To apply to be part of this year’s event, fill out a short form before February 26. They are available from email@example.com or from Judi on 07478 946454.
